A rare Cheyne armchair/lounge chair designed by British designer, Robin Day, for Hille UK, 1959. Comfortable and stylish with black stove enamelled square section tubular steel frame, mahogany arm rests and black vinyl sprung seat. It is referenced in the book "Robin and Lucienne Day Pioneers of Contemporary Design" (image above). This is an original, vintage item which still retains the original Hille badge and it therefore shows si. Gns of wear consistent with its age and use.

The beech seat frame and springs are in great condition and the vinyl is in overall good condition (there is a small mark on the seat as shown in the photographs above). Collection welcome from SA19 or I do have a telephone number for a courier you could call for a quote. Width including arms 685 mm.
