Pair of incredibly rare and highly collectible'Unicorn' Chairs designed by Ernest Race in 1958. Only 150 were made for the British Pavilion at the 1958 Brussels World Fair.
It is unknown how many examples remain today. This is particularly so of the original teak versions as many in later production were painted.Made from plywood with painted steel rod legs. The seats are in excellent condition, very sturdy with no splits or repairs.
There is some slight corrosion to parts of the legs but this adds to the authenticity. We would not recommend this as these chairs are highly sought after antiques of the future and retention in their original form makes them more desirable.
